Speech-Language Pathologist

I am a Speech-Language Pathologist with experience working with children, from birth through high school, in private practice, home health, and school settings. I completed my Masters of Science degree in Speech and Language Pathology from the University of South Florida in 2011. After receiving my graduate degree, I had the opportunity to participate in a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) at the University of Illinois Chicago to advance my practical knowledge of policy and advocacy for individuals with disabilities. During my LEND fellowship, I received training on the multidisciplinary diagnostic evaluation process for autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and had the opportunity to speak to our Senators on Capitol Hill to advocate for disability rights. I currently hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech and Hearing Association and state licensures from the Ohio Board of Speech Pathology and Audiology and Illinois Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.

I am committed to providing compassionate child-centered therapy by forming interdisciplinary partnerships and engaging families to advocate for and empower their children. I believe in a team approach to therapy that focuses on evidence based strategies tailored for each of my clients needs. Therapy should be engaging and fun! I love seeing the smiles on the children’s faces as we celebrate learning a new skill, whether big or small! My interests are in feeding disorders, early intervention/ prelinguistic communication, neurodevelopmental disorders, autism spectrum disorders/social language skills, and articulation and phonological disorders.
